Welcome to Wit's End Farm

 Learn more about us!

Wit's End Farm is located in beautiful Jackson, NJ and sits on almost 50 acres of preserved land. The farm was started in 1968 by Yolanda and John Mazzarisi. Thru the Mazzarisi's hard work, they were able to turn an old chicken farm into the horse farm that it is today.

 Dressage Ring       Cross Country Course

The facilities offered at Wit's End include 2 dressage rings (one sand, one grass), a main jumping ring, an indoor arena and also a cross country course. These facilities allow Wit's End Farm to hold multiple horse shows through the year. (Check the calendar to see when the next horse show is!)

 'Another Win'-yearling champion
Mrs. Mazzarisi has been involved in breeding horses for years. Her focus was on breeding Thoroughbred horses in the beginning and now has changed to breeding and selling Warmbloods and Warmblood Crosses. Check our 'horses for sale' list to see some of the homebreds currently offered.

Meet Our Instructor

Yolanda Mazzarisi

1955 Spanish Riding School

Yolanda is not only the owner of Wit's End, she's also the head trainer. Yolanda has been involved with horses for over 60 years. She has riden all over the world and has the distinct honor of being the first woman to ride and train with the Spanish Riding School. She has taught many riders from training level all the way up to Grand Prix. Mrs. Mazzarisi's backround is not limited to just teaching dressage. You'll also see her teaching jumping lessons, using her years of experience to her students advantage.

Tour Our Facilities

The barn at Wit's End Farm was renovated recently. Bob Mazzarisi and Mazzarisi Custom Carpentry undertook the big project. With help from the staff at Wit's End, the horses now enjoy their new stained and polyurithained stalls. The horses also enjoy the new heated automatic waterers in their stalls.
The indoor arena also underwent a transformation. The inside walls were replaced with newly stained wood and a state of the art lighting system was installed. The indoor arena also features dust free footing, making riding enjoyable in any weather. Look for the newest improvement to the indoor arena...rebuilt doors and two wall with clear plastic for more natural light!

 Outdoor facilities include:

  • two dressage rings (one sand and one grass)
  • main riding/ jumping ring
  • cross country course (chicken, beginner novice, novice and training level fences)

The cross country course was started in the 70's as a way to help the local pony club host an event. The course grew from there and now has a variety of jumps including banks and a water jump. Although Wit's End no longer runs horse trials, the cross country course is still maintained to allow schooling for both horse and rider.

                Schooling the stream

The horses at Wit's End enjoy lots of turn out time. The fields have been recently re-fenced and many of the fields even offer heated water tubs.
